Wow. My grade school math tells me that's over 45K miles a year. How's your oil usage? Any special routine maintenance, or did you just follow the schedule?
Thanks

276000 and as good as new, it was a well maintained Dept. of Fish & Game vehicle before I got it 3 years ago.

2001 Ford Expedition XLT 4.6

I purchased this vehicle directly from an owner in a tight pinch. I could tell that this vehicle had very little TLC and that the owner just wanted to do away with it due to unable to pass emissions. The just let this vehicle piss on itself. As of today, almost all codes are cleared. Here's the list.

- Windshield fluid major leak due to the hose being disconnected behind the passenger side kick panel.
- Major lean condition on both banks. The cause was a worn intake manifold gasket and multiple vacuum leaks in the engine bay. LTFT now -sits at 10% on bank 1, and 7% on bank 2. I want to get it lowered a little more. Much better nonetheless.
- Replaced an o2 sensor due to it being faulty. (P1131) Haven't seen this code ever since changing the sensor.
- EGR insufficient flow code due to major carbon build up in the throttle body passage ports (2).
- Replaced battery.
- Replaced Alternator.
- Major misfire (blinking engine light) due to fluid (maybe spilled oil) in cylinder 1 and 2, and a bad COP.
- Replaced the infamous PCV valve and hose that routes to the back of the intake.
- Replaced oil pan gasket.
- Replaced oil filter adapter gasket. This was the biggest challenge of all of them. The space was extremely tight to work in.

All that is left now is fixing the inoperable wiper for the back, replacing catalytic converters, fixing the lock mechanism, fixing the overhead console display (compass and temp), and repairing some aesthetics.

I’m now at 194,*** and am wondering what I should do preventative to get to 300k?

All fluids done every 50k.
Oil every 3-3500 mi
Coil overs done
Intake done
Various suspension parts as they wear
Plugs at 100k, probably due again soon
Cops as needed

My odometer goes on and off
Original ac compressor and related parts
Original radiator and hoses
Original drive belt
Original fuel pump
Changed fuel filter once, need to do again

Aside from the odometer fade on/off only thing it needs is a new bulb for rear over the tailgate light.

Should probably schedule plugs, cops, radiator hoses, and drive belt?

Truck runs two 1100 mi runs up and back (2200 mi trip) 2-4 times a year then sits in garage w little use.

How is odometer board reflowed?

Odometer is easy fix just a couple cold solder joints to re-heat and there are half a dozen videos on how to fix it. Just search " 2000 expedition odometer fix" It will also show F150 97-03 same thing.

Cruise control module is located next to the fuse box under the hood. It has a cable connected to the throttle and a wiring harness
