Hi All, what are some items I can upgrade on my XLT?

Examples: I have clothe seats but would prefer leather. If I upgrade, will the front seats wire up and work? Does the second row bench just bolt in? Can I install 3rd row and the motor or raise it up/down? I’ve seen info on older Expeditions having the wiring harnesses available to add the motor.

Can I install the BLISS mirrors?

Can I install the 8” display? I found a video of a company offering the upgrade kit but it’s out of my budget at $1800

Any others?

Convert all int/ext lights to LED.
Chop the rear resonator off, sounds much better without it.
Weathertech floor liners
Oil catch can (jlt performance $149) best investment I’ve made

Unless you get a killer deal on junkyard pull seats having someone install Katzkin leather will actually give you a better quality leather than factory and they can add heat. Will be cheaper than swapping.

I was quoted 800 for front and third row at a local yard

I don’t think stock heated/cooled leather seats would hook up nor work. I used to have an XLT and now have an Eddie Bauer. My XLT had none of the switches, harnesses, modules that the Eddie Bauer seats have.

Thanks. That’s what I’m worried about. I’m not sure what wiring harness is I’ll find when I open things up

Katzkin is good stuff, you can also add heat. Likely an easier option.

You can have your current seats re-upholstered in leather. Wiring isn't an issue that way.

Does the second row bench just bolt in?

Yes. If you install "same year" seats, the holes should already be there.

Can I install 3rd row and the motor or raise it up/down? I’ve seen info on older Expeditions having the wiring harnesses available to add the motor.

You may have to replace the entire rear floor area to do that.

Can I install the BLISS mirrors?

I think you can put the mirrors with BLIS on, but it won't integrate with your dash or chimes.

Can I install the 8” display? I found a video of a company offering the upgrade kit but it’s out of my budget at $1800

The real decision maker is what version of Sync you have. Sync is not "bolt on".

I have a 2017, is Sync the same for all this year? Or is there a way for me to check? At some point, I know the trim package has the 8” standard

Can I upgrade my computer to integrate BLIS?

Yea 3rd row power fold may be a headache- perhaps replacing the rear quarter plastic to have the button mount. The carpet. Add the motor and hope the harness is there...
