5 star said with a cat back they normally don't re tune. They thought about 5 horsepower but I think that's pessimistic. It will likely be in the thousand dollar range so I may just pass
Now that being said, throw some SPD turbo adapters, a set of 3” catted DPs from SPD and a 3” exhaust and now you’re talking about

But then you have to listen to that "V-6 Racket".....
I'm always amazed at the power these things make on the factory muffler...:)

Factory muffler is perfectly fine, yes. If you want some deeper tones, chop that rear resonator off and throw a tip on it and have it as an axle dump. Nice little growl on start up and no rattle whatsoever when flooring it. It’s not a V8 but definitely sounds like a beefy v6

It seems like with the tune it sounds better, not sure if it's my mind or not.
The volant cold air box does seem to give more intake growl for lack of a better term than before the tune.

Yeah Thts because the box is open. I love the sound of my 16 with the rear res delete, K&n CAI and tune.

No the volant box is sealed so it doesn't take in hot under hood air. It's one of a couple brands that offer a sealed intake. But it does flow we'll.

Oh sweet, yeah when I bought my K&n it was either them or scareraid. Now I see s&b makes a covered version but I’ve got really thick weather stripping and a pre filter on my K&n and it works well

NOTHING Wrong With k&N , I Saw Afe Had A Dual Pipe System I Really Liked AND Ordered One From Summit For An F150 IT Arrived AND One Tube Didn't fit. So I called afe and they had that unit for the expidition but it was twice the price. So I called summit and the guy said somebody there bought an expidition and volant made a really nice system so that's how I came across that.it's a nice unit I'm very happy with it.

I have a 5star for a month now, currently 89oct tow installed. ngauge. Datalogging seems disabled, but in the "gauge" mode I can still log a run. Got a csv file and sent to 5star a couple of days ago. Should I expect an answer? For what do I look for in the file? There is a "Knock(deg)" column, range from 0 to -2.8. What else?

Thanks
Tom
