Hello
You have to clean drain hole after you remove rubber plug to let water out of the door I have had same issue before.

I had the same problem but I couldn’t find the rectangular holes everyone talks about (I have a 2008). I discovered by accident that the bottom door seal is attached to the doors by rubber stems that fit into holes. I was able to pull the rubber seal away from the door and allow the water to exit from one of the attachment holes. Once it started it continued on it’s own. I also had to leave the door open until the water was all drained out. Took about 20 minutes. I hope you can find the rectangles.

Mine is also an 08. The rectangular hole is under that bottom door seal. I too removed the first "pin" and water started draining from that hole. But if you peel the door seal back towards the second pin holding it in place you'll find the rectangular plug there (at both ends of the seal).

Yes, common problem that I have found on the expeditions that I have now and have owned (on my 5th one now). My 2010, 2014 and 2017 all get water in the back doors. I kind of hold the rubber molding to the side and let it drain. I really don't know why it happens so much on my expeditions, it doesn't do that to any of my F150s, Good luck.

I had a stink that I just couldn't track down, and one day I was closing my passenger door and heard the water slosh around, instantly went "oh crap". Pulled the plug, let it drain and dry out, and the stink went away. Turns out it's normal! Thanks!
