Glad you got it under warranty. Muddybean had some issues too with turbo coolant lines. I've got 68K and it just runs. No issues yet...

Yeah I remember reading about his. Now I will say I haven’t gotten under there in a long time to check so idk how long it’s been leaking. It must be very slow though because I only see it around the housing area. Not on the driveway or anything. Ran it the other night and got it up to temp so the thermostat activated and saw no visible leaks. I’ll let ford handle this one I think

Maybe your '93 perf tune', has something to do with this issue. Too much cylinder pressure, can blow the head gaskets.

I would bet it has nothing to do with his tune. This is a coolant line on the turbo, a part that has been known to fail in the past.

Not my truck. And it’s a coolant tube. Nothing to do with a gasket.

I thought the turbos are cooled with oil, not coolant. They get so hot, the water/coolant would vaporize. I bet something else is going on. That turbo is probably compromised and will fail next.

And if you knew how a turbo worked, you would know they use both.
Do you know that as a fact? Please explain. They get to 1100 degrees, coolant 'boils over' around 240.

This ******* match is getting ridiculous..

Your statement is kind of like assuming water cooling an internal combustion engine runs coolant through the combustion chamber, which would quickly evaporate it..

The Turbo bearings run in oil, like the pistons use oil for lubrication and cooling, and the turbo's housing has coolant passages, like the engine block does..
