Driving now. Chicago to Indy. Rented from Enterprise.

Initial impressions are acceleration is quick. Rides quiet and smooth. I don’t know how I feel about the auto-off/start when you come to stop light.

It has the push button start and it sounded like a Diesel engine for a couple seconds.
I don’t like the sound of the exhaust and the tires are a little loud but that’s probably due to wear.

The seat is comfortable but I’m not used to the huge tv screen in the middle of the dashboard.

I don’t like the little knob you turn to shift gears, I prefer center console shifter.

It is boxy in appearance. I like having automatic tailgate and love the power fold down seats.

But for what these sell for I’ll hang on to the ole gal a bit longer.

Yes, I don’t care much for the auto stop/start either and always turn it off if I remember. Like everything else real well. Let us know how the trip went.....

You are soooo right. I feel like I’m cheating on my old truck. I’m really enjoying this power, smoothness and quiet ride.

Dont feel bad, its weird becuz it seems like ppl forget this is an expy forum. Its all expy love, just cuz u like the new one doesnt mean u dnt love urs, u jus appreciate how far they come. I do atleast. Ive tried for yrs(as a kid) to convince my dad on tradin his problem plagued explorer on a 1st/2nd gen expy. He was diehard yukon denali guy too. Finally got me a 3rd gen navi which i adored which transferred smoothly to my 4th gen expy. Did u rent an xlt or ltd?

It’s a black/black LTD. We are a Ford family. My wife drives a 2016 Explorer which is a great vehicle.

I’m gonna pop the hood and take a tour. lol.

Ford made a car called an LTD. My friend totaled his because the big Maple tree in our yard wouldn’t move......their hoods were like 10 feet long...big boats back then.

I love NOT having a car payment.

absolutely
with the price of a new expy, i could purchase and develop LAND

if i had a family, and career i would definitely consider a new expy though
