White smoke out of the tailpipe is normal, cold mornings when it’s warming up

Correct. But this was the middle of summer 75-80 degrees and it was a huge cloud of smoke multiple times. Hasn’t happened since. I live in IL and turbo was replaced in January (smoke first noticed the prior August) so I’ve seen the full range of weather since.

White smoke means that u blew ur Head gasket! The car overheated sometime....maybe ur thermostat (simple item) to a water pump (more complicated)....and that pressure blew the head gasket allowing the antifreeze and oil to mix....and coming out white.

I'm getting that smoke upon startup also with 70+ temps.
Is it smoke or steam?

The EBs will "steam" a bit at startup. Mine does it, most commonly at first start of the day. As an old school guy, when I first noticed it I too thought it was a headgasket, but it isn't. Its just a normal condition for these engines.

Sounds like they describe smoke which is gonna be coolant leaking or oil or both since the turbos are oil and coolant cooled
