That's cheap as dirt! Are those real OEM-type covers that go on with hog rings? Or are they some slip on things with rubber bands and no backs?

Real

Can't vouch they're genuinely from the supplier the seller lists since I'm unaffiliated with either of em, but those are most certainly the hog ring OEM replacement type kits pictured

PS also, in the case of my own -- seller claimed the wife vetoed em after he already signed for the order, so he got stuck with taking delivery anyway... clips and mounting points and stitching and stuff all matched up and the factory tags listed the correct Katzkin custom color by name, so they were prolly genuine. Quality was superior to Ford, shape was correctly tailored, and laid out flat they looked just like what all those guys on ebay are selling, so...

Thanks for the replies! Do you need to take off the existing cloth seat material to install this leather or does it slip over the cloth?

Also, is the leather skin airbag compatible?

I've literally never heard of this before. Cool stuff, though!

Cloth must come off. Leather has the SRS tags and is tailored around the in-seat airbag design

Except for the headrests, cloth will come off intact

Hogrings mount to these wooden skewer thingies and metal coat hanger wire embeded inside the seat material, then the clips stretch onto the frame

Same as factory

Wow, that sounds great, thanks for posting! I will order some cheap covers for now and keep my eyes peeled for that leather.

I hope they ship to Kanukistan... ;)

I changed out the driver seat in a 2004.. even being careful the wiring harness was different, even in same generation. I think my problem was 2003 v. 2004. So try car-parts.com. Or coverkings.

Katzkin is what the dealers have installed if they have a car with cloth seats (new or used) and you want leather. Very high quality! The only "problem" is they only sell to installers. They typically run around $800 for the front seats. Not too bad for installed. You can get the same type covers to install yourself from Shear Comfort (https://www.shearcomfort.com/) for $500 a row. Limited colors in real leather (black, beige, or grey), but they have other options that are cheaper as well, imitation leather is $261-$328 a row.

I was going to mention LeBaron Bonney, but looks like they filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in March of this year.
