Hello all,

My SIRIUS XM stop working all of a sudden on my Ford Expedition 2009. Everything else in the radio seems to be working. I contacted SIRIUS Technical support and they did send a refresh signal and remote troubleshooting but it didn't work. Also, I verified my subscription status and everything seems in good order. SIRIUS recommended to take the car to the dealer, but I rather contacted you first, the community of Ford owners that don't care to share a good advise, or even better may have the solution to this problem.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Regards,
Andres D.

Check the antenna connection at the antenna and behind the radio. The former is the more likely issue if the issue is a physical connection problem.

I would have to agree, while you're in there if it doesnt appear to be a connection issue move the wires around a bit to see if there is an internal break. I've had it happen many times on ford, for whatever reason they like to bundle things up tight and kink wires. One random bump or just dumb luck and they move...and that's it.

Does your factory radio happen to show signal strength for Sirius? If so, having another set of eyes on the display while you move about can be useful.

There was an issue on some satellite antennas. You can bend down the headliner after removing the trim if it needs replacement. You'd plug in a new one to test...
