Don't forget to tighten all the lug nuts the same, most people think overheating rotors is why they warp. They do warp from overheating, but the #1 cause of warped rotors is uneven ft lbs on your lugs!

Interesting point and it makes sense.

very well possible for wrapped rotors due to uneven torque specs. always star pattern and torque to spec check 2x. and your set. keeping everything in aligment will also help

The 'new' vented rotor. lol... I can't imagine going this far on brakes w/out throwing a piston.

OP: I hope the issue is readily solved via new rotors/pads. Go ceramic (pads) if you can. I have had great results.

I have never seen a rotor like that, where did you find that picture? Can you imagine actually using some like that? Would never stop!

I just stumbled across some like that one recently when researching rotor issues for a friend. (google 'worn car rotors' and you'll find a few other examples).

I hope the OP can chime in with the fix for the issue they were experiencing...

I have pulled two off that were into the fins like that. They are actually not nearly as rough as you would think. The owners were still driving along.
NOW the BEST was a 79 Thunderbird that I bought in 1993. When you hit the pedal it felt like the rear right tire was coming toward you!
I pulled the front wheel and the rotor was in TWO PIECES!
There was a piece of metal that laid against the rotor right outside of the hub and studs and acted like a lathe and cut it in half.
The complete disk stopping area with no extreme wear or grooves was hanging there a little sideways and not spinning at all...just the center hub and studs were spinnning so that wheel has ZERO braking action.
no noise at all at that point but it sure felt funny.
