My daughter’s 20” fully rigid mountain bike fit perfectly with the standard basket.

My husband’s bike is a 29er (Transition Sentinel) and I have plus tires on my bike. All of them fit well and we haven’t had any tire rub issues.

We did a 400mi round trip adventure for an Enduro race up bumpy gravel service roads and another 250 mi trip to Whistler.

My youngest has a 14” bike that we haven’t put in the rack yet. Recon does make a smaller basket to accommodate smaller bikes.

We got our Recon back in May. It has the newer basket style. I believe it was the previous style that had tire rub issues. I haven’t seen any complaints since the update.

I picked up a used Saris on CL for $60.00. It's a two bike rack with the drop away hinge and designed for 2" x 2" hitch (no adapter). It's quite sturdy as compared to a couple I looked at which are constructed from pretty thin gage material.

just be careful, as I've nearly rear ended people with huge bike racks because they blocked their taillights. I'd hate for you to get in an accident and someone get hurt or something......

Is the receiver on the camper installed even with the rear bumper? If so, does it clear the bumper mounted spare on the camper? (That's the other thing I don't like about my Thule. I had my TT receiver installed even with the bumper so the spare tire keeps me from being able to store it in the upright position.)

I threw the safety struts and the HiLo mount on the TT bumper from https://mount-n-lock.com/ on my camper bumper.
I didn't want it interfering or the extra weight, so, spare tire lives inside now. It'd have also been in the way as I wanted the rack mounted in the middle of the bumper and needed to clear the ladder. I'll get a picture next time I'm loaded up and post it.

Get thee to a welding shop and get a proper receiver installed. That safety strut reinforces the welds on the bumper, but an RV bumper is not designed to carry any significant weight. (Which is why there's that little asterisk on all their product pages "*Results vary based on age and condition of the bumper, frame, and vehicle."

I agree, the struts help but the bumper tube is still super thin wall and not made to do anything but carry the poop hose. I certainly wouldn't carry anything important attached to the bumper.

Already have a 4 bike rack that sufficiently covers the rear lights ;)

I have small set of lights that plug into the trailer lights and stick to the end of my rack. Works good. I also use it with a hitch carrier that I use on my jeep. Works great.
