Decided to finish the reskin job on the one seat I never installed
Not sure if its fold worked before or works now. In its unbolted, uncovered, and cushionless form, it doesn't. Is there some kind of hidden safety that only lets it activate when it's installed, like with seatbelt retractors or something?
Because at this point in time, all I got is "pull latch on top, get this minor movement -- with zero effect on seat back position --- in the mechanical contraption down below"
It pulls the thingie and stretches the spring ~1/2", but that's IT. No further effect.
Any hints on what's going on here? Thx
