What, No comment on the Idiocy of your Service Writer’s statement and the fact that he obviously has NO IDEA how the cats work. The fact that engine temp would have very little to do with exhaust temp in a Turbo’d vehicle.

I’d venture to say you’re correct. And then again turbo or not, I don’t think the thermostat will effect the Catalyst system. When I start my 5.4 on a cold morning those cats get right to work and are the first thing hot. They run at what 2,000 degrees? Changing coolant from 180 to 160 isn’t going to change that......combustion temp in the chamber and the exhaust isn’t any colder just because the block is.
Yep. My point. I know I’m correct. Didn’t make the statement with any doubt. Turbo Motors heat the cats even faster in most cases, especially when under load.

running on the Track.
Just a quick question from one who has an absolutely stock '15 XLT...What does "running on the track" refer to? Why and where?...Thanks!
It was just a quote from a service writer that I have known for a couple of yearsWhat, No comment on the Idiocy of your Service Writer’s statement and the fact that he obviously has NO IDEA how the cats work.
