The cable that opens the tailgate glass is broken at the handle area. it is still attached up at the window latch, though, but I don't see a way of getting it out. I see four bolts holding the whole window latch onto the tailgate, but i'm not too sure how bad it is to replace. does anyone have any experience replacing the cable that opens the glass window? pics would be good, too. Thanks.

very easy to replace. what you will have to do is removed the rear wiper motor and bracket. then you will be able to unscrew the latch. i had the same thing happen to me. if the cable broke you will have to replace the cable. if the plastic part broke that hold the cabe in place then you can go on amazon and order metals ones. its a more permeant fix. heres a link. let me know if this helps

That's a good plan. but i'm having trouble with the upper part of the cable. the window latch at the top has no easy access to the broken end of the cable. any ideas?
