Hello fellow 3rd gens...I've been lurking here for a bit and finally pulled the trigger on a 2010 Limited yesterday. I picked it up today and I've got an issue right out of the gate.
The dealership I bought it from did replace the windshield before selling it to me. On the drive home with it this evening, I noticed that the dash was not displaying the directional heading and the auto-dimming rear view mirror wasn't dimming. Then as I was playing with it after getting home, I noticed the visor lights weren't working. And the garage door opener. And once I paired my phone to the stereo, I could hear people talking from the other end, but they couldn't hear me...and the SYNC system doesn't respond to voice commands.
Are all of these components tied in together with each other? I have a feeling that something wasn't reconnected properly after the windshield replacement...am I in the ballpark there?
I do have to take it back next weekend for some exterior cosmetic fixes and since I've got a 3 month/3000 mile warranty, I figured I'd have them address these issues as well, unless there's something easy I can check before taking it in. (Yes, the plug on the back of the rear view mirror is plugged in).
Other than that, I'm loving the truck so far! Very excited to be in one of these; I'm getting out of a 2003 Explorer.
