Not hooked up but 2018 with tow package pulls my fish house great. Out on the hard water in Mn. trailer weighs around 7000 pounds

Are you using that yeti to keep things warm?
This is a completely alien concept to me but I hope to one day do this, even if just for one night. Being from the south I may just be able to survive one night haha

I have seen a few people that have them when at campsites and everyone I have talked to said they were great. I think they seem expensive for what they are. They seem easy to use too which is nice, watching people hitch up seems to go faster than when I hitch up which would be nice. The hitch itself weighs a lot less than other WDHs. Everyone I have seen using them had "smaller" trailers in the 5000lb or less range. A quick check on Amazon seems to show people with bigger trailers having issues...
My trailer is 19' and weighs about 4000 lbs all loaded up. I'm considering getting a WDH but man this one ain't cheap.
For 4K? Is it all on the tongue? That’s not even half what the Expy can tow.

I have a little R-Pod teardrop style camper with a dry weight of around 2800 pounds and tongue weight of around 300. I don't think my Expy even squatted this weekend when I hooked it up and got all the towing specs dialed in. Granted, I was not in full camp mode so I had no gear in the rear or the camper packed accordingly. But even so, it was a dream to go from a vehicle with a max 4500 to the Expy with 9200.
It is if you don't have the Max Tow package. The non-package equipped Expy can only do 6500lbs. And no, of course it's not all on the tongue.

My !9 fx4 with HD tow, Squats 2" with my 6000lb trailer, and 750 tounge weight. Drives great no sway. Do I need WDH? Or just sumo springs?

Any tongue weight over 650lbs (or is it 600?) requires a WDH. (Go look at the sticker on the receiver.)
