All - I posted a few questions and received a lot of help. I had a 1st Gen Expi and loved it. But, sadly, I had my right leg amputated above the knee (circulation issues) back in May of 2018. I sold my Expi back in December 2018 after realizing even if I could drive again, getting in and out of my Expi would be very, very difficult. It went to someone who really needed a large vehicle (makes cabinets) and having a tough time.

I, again, thank those of you who answered my questions and were very helpful. Good luck to everyone. I was a "boawtie" guy until my Expi (2 Impala's, Malibu and my wife just bought an Equiniox), but if I get to e better place with a prosthetic, I'll be looking for another 1st Gen Expi.

Best wishes with your medical issues.

I’m helping raise my 8-year old granddaughter, who was diagnosed with juvenile Type 1 diabetes when she was five. I worry about her long-term health issues.

Although I own a 2015 Ford Expedition I have also owned Chevrolet vehicles for 50 years. The Expedition was my first Ford.

Again, best wishes.

Sorry to hear about your drastic weight loss program. Hopefully you heal up well and find a vehicle that works great for you.

Sorry to hear about that. They do make steering wheel controls for throttle and brake but as you stated, getting into is probably easier in a lower car with over or down instead of up into.
Best wishes for the future.
