New to me '04 Eddie Bauer 4x2. It's got 182K miles.

I haven't learned yet what equipment comes with the EB package but it's got everything you could imagine, most surprising to me being the power rear quarter vent windows, that's just overkill.

I've been able to figure out it's got the 5.4 2V, 4R70W, 3.73 LSD, tow package and I discovered the add on device under the dash is a Tekonsha controller, maybe a Voyager.

Figured I'd correct this post based on information I got from the Ford service manuals I just got. My Expy has the 4R75W transmission, not the 4R70W

171,196 on a 03 Eddie Bauer Green and Gold 5.4 2v 4x4. I bought it in 2014 with 125,000 on it. Changed the fluids, have taken the family on multiple vacations in it. I have always liked fords but this one is a keeper

My 2003 XLT 5.4 has around 165K on it. I have owned it for about 4 years now. It is my summer time mountain fun / winter time snowy weather vehicle. It sits alot as my other vehicle absorbs the vast majority of my around town driving. I love this thing. It has never left me stranded. I have definitely kept up on maintenance, though. My philosophy is "Take care of your vehicles and they will take care of you". I plan on keeping it around for a long time.

2003 Eddie Bauer. Bought used in 2013 with 97K miles. 207,000 now.
PO was pretty hard on it. But it was and still is pretty clean.

Michigan and Indiana winters are hard on anything.. so had to get rid of slush trapping running boards and weld in new rocker panels and refinish. Looks factory now and I installed stainless tube bars to replace oem running boards..

Lots of antique motorcycle towing since buying it. One to two bikes in an enclosed 6x10 trailer..

I love the old thing big time but I’m looking at 2015-2016 V6 Eco Boost Expeditions now. I figure if I get a low mileage and babied one it’ll outlast me..

I could probably get another 100,000 miles out of it but at 65 years old I’m deserving something newer and even cushier.

It also handles like a 5,000 pound Porsche with the IRS...! I can lose Tahoes in the twisties easily.

It gets full synthetic 5W20 and Puolator filters every 5,000 miles

The cooling system has been flushed twice since I bought it.

Brake system flushed 50,000 miles after line replacements.

Doesn’t leak anything and still uses less than a half quart of oil per 5,000 miles.

Slight knocking at cold starts but goes away once at full operating temperature

Front passenger window needs a calendar to know when it’s fully closed

Repairs:
Eventually all eight spark plug holes were repaired by installing steel staked hole savers.
New Motorcraft coils (The Accel ones were junk)
Front wheel bearings
Ceramic brake pads twice
Power steering pump
Steering rack (Wasn’t too bad but since I replaced a leaking pump I figured it’d be worth it and it now handles like a new Expedition)
Serpentine belt and all new idler pulleys
Upper ball joints/arms (The boots were toast)
Both rear hvac servo motors
Brake lines (salt corrosion)
Brake hoses
Front brake calipers
4x4 switch on firewall
Steering wheel switches and clock spring
Headlamp housings

Sounds like a lot but considering I bought it for $5k seven years ago and haven’t had any payments since I’m not complaining.

The only cosmetic issue is the aluminum corrosion and paint issues on the tailgate which was a big problem in rust belt areas on tailgates that the factory paint shops did a sloppy job of prepping and priming...

I am probly of no help. LoL I bought my '04 Eddie Bauer Ed. in 2017 with 69,000 miles on her. Now only at 77,000 miles on the clock. May very well be the last truck I'll need to buy!

Now that is a well maintained Expidition- when you are ready to say good-bye, let me know. I'm from Green Bay and certainly appreciate the salt work!! I'd gladly add her to the stable and continue to baby her!

I've got 167K on my '04 Eddie Bauer. My parents bought it brand new in 2004 and only drove highway miles, then they passed it down to me at around 115k. Always done my own work so I know its done right, I'm an auto mechanic for a living. Still running strong. Will never sell this thing. I've done multiple trips over 200miles, never had too many issues. Just recently did a fuel pump because the electrical started to go out in the actual pump before the actual pump itself! Absolutely love this truck.

Done a little offroading but I want to get some aftermarket addons like MrBlargMan up there. Looks good!

2005 Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4 3V 4x4 Heavy Towing Package with the moonroof and the DVD and all that.

208,000 as of 3 days ago, I bought it with overdrive blown out of the transmission but first second and third and 4x4 all worked fine the owner was the original owner and admitted to towing something way too heavy up a hill without turning off overdrive. My dad knows a guy so I got the transmission job done and installed for 1300 bucks including torque converter, the truck only cost me 2500 because the transmission shop he took it to told him the full tranny rebuild and install would be 4500.

Only existing issue is the starter will occasionally miss engaging fully but we're talking a few times a month not constantly.

2009 Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4 3V 2WD 6 Speed Automatic Heavy Towing Package with the moonroof and the DVD and automatic retracting running boards

168,000 as of a few weeks ago, everything works and no problems. This one is the family vehicle. I reserve the romping to the 2005 4x4 which has a push bumper, and 13 forward facing lights, and I have two big LED bars facing backwards on the roof as well from the front or the back it probably looks like the sun coming at you in the dark.
