Yea people can be so lazy and thoughtless with garbage it’s nuts. Homeowners and real estate developers know exactly what I’m talking about. All that garbage people apparently aren’t capable enough to handle ends up on everyone’s land. I don’t want your used condoms or coffee cups (which is the type of trash those who have no problem littering produce). Yea not having a great day lol.

Throw it out the window and tell Take it all *****!

Just kidding. I have never been a litterbug. I do throw apple cores out the window but I make sure I throw them into a grassy area so the animals can come eat them without being attracted to come into the street. That would be rude.
I will also spit chewing gum out the window because it's chewing gum and not really litter.
Some would disagree. But we need something to help hold the asphalt together in the roads.

Just a few months ago we were on a mini vacation in Pigeon Forge. And leaving one of the candy shops saw a family get out of a nice big expensive quad cab four-wheel drive truck and one of the 14 year old or so kids threw 20 oz pop bottle or something right on the ground and didn't pick it up. So it must have been deliberate. We all immediately noticed and thought what trashy people they were.
From everyone that has stepped in gum we thank you for throwing it out your window. Gum is absolutely litter and tends to not biodegrade very quickly.

Quit walking in the road you won't have this problem.

Edit: let me elaborate. I don't throw gum in the parking lot or just spit it out when I'm walking around. The roads I'm talking about are six lanes across and 45 mile-an-hour speed limit so if you're walking in those and stepping in gum you have far more problems than gum on your shoe . Lol

Edit#2: plus, the added benefit of everyone walking around looking down their cell phones gives you the extra ability to see the gum in your forward extra field of vision and not step in it.

This must be hyperbole, correct? Have you seen what running over hot gum at 45 MPH does to fenders and fender wells? The last time I had to clean up such a mess from my vehicle I swore I would draw and quarter the perpetrator... are you requesting torture? Because throwing gum anywhere other than a garbage can or swallowing it is a plea for torture.

I guess I'm kind of the opposite of you. I probably view you as the kid who throws the pop bottle on the ground. I know, you could care less. I go out every spring and pick up all the trash alongside the road in my neighborhood and the feeder highway. Its good exercise and makes the neighborhood look better. Couple things amaze me. By a week later its got trash all over again. Ha! There are cig butts every 6 inches along the feeder highway. I don't pick those up … that would take a year. Those filters last like 10,000 years. I know, you could care less.

Well I'm not that bad as a litterbug. I was simply being generous and stating my shortcomings. The only two things that I throw out the window of a car are apple cores and as I said I make sure I throw them into a grassy area so any animals that might want to eat them don't run out in the street and get killed and I will spit chewing gum out the window or throw it out the pasture window over into the grass the same way. I'm sure I can usually it's not made it past the curb or laying on the sidewalk.
Luckily, it's not habitual habit for me because I don't chew gum over once every couple of months maybe once every three months. I'm not a gum person.
I Love chocolates and snacks, miniature peanut butter cups, and hard candies. I have a trash bag in the car so the wrappers for the candies go into that bag.
So I'm not a terrible litterbug I'm just not as conscientious as you are.
I have also never seen gum cause a problem on a car and I have several show cars. Maybe it doesn't get hot enough here. All it does is flatten out and leave a spot on the asphalt.

Having had an "Adopt a highway" mile on a major interstate several years I can tell you that we as a country, or at least in the Midwest, are a bunch of filthy litterbugs. For any that haven't done it, go volunteer for a cleanup day sometime and see what it's like.

The first time cleanups are the worst. In fact the first time this part of the highway was ever adopted we picked up 37 bags of trash in an area bordered by the highway, an exit ramp and another street. This is an area a little less than 2 acres.

A puzzling one is the number of soda and Gatorade bottles that are half full and tossed out. And no, it's not urine, I know that trick from way back. You name it and someone has thrown it out on the freeway. I haven't stepped in gum they but I will be pissed if I do in the future.

I usually save a paper coffee cup and reuse it as a trash collector.
once its full I ether empty it or toss the entire thing away
