Hey everyone. Really been enjoying lurking on this site and learning as much as possible about the 2009 Eddie Bauer I recently picked up.

This is my first Ford other than my 1976 Bronco.

Our rig has the rear DVD system as well as SYNC up front. Is there a way to play DVDs from the front head unit to the rear screens? My wife would prefer to control it from there as our children are still too young to operate the rear system.

Another random question... why are there so few aftermarket grill options?! LOL

Probably not

They don't want your estate suing them after you drive off a cliff cause you were busy watching indash DVDs while driving to notice

LOL! I should clarify.

Mainly she wants to be able to control the rear DVD from up front rather than watch it while driving.

I know I can on my 2007 Eddie Bauer, I don’t recall the procedure off the top of my head but if nobody posts I’ll figure it out for you in the morning.

Isn't that technically the same thing though?

Unless you just want on/off/mute type buttons, which I'm sure would be pretty easy to hotwire

A wireless remote control & pair of wireless headphones is (was?) included with my 2008 and the front head unit pretty much controls all the audio. Replacements are common on eBay or Amazon as we've lost, replaced, and since recovered more than a few over the years.

Driver or front passenger can easily insert/switch a disc into the overhead player from the front seat. Its literally right behind the front passengers head.

EDIT: Per my Amazon cart, replacement Ford remote control is part 7L1Z-18C908-C and pair of replacement wireless headphones are part VDG1Z-18C604-A. I dont know where I bought it, but I also have a smaller remote control with pretty much just the basic buttons. It also works from the front seat.

We had the remote in our 07 as well. I believe there is a combination of the radio buttons that allows some control (I think pushing the #3 and#5 buttons mutes or locks the rear DVD). Sorry I don't remember all of those details but other may know what I'm thinking of.
