I'm looking to upgrade the trans cooler on my '12, I was wanting to utilize the one for the heavy tow package, but when I look it up, the only one I can find is the one installed from the factory. I'm looking at adding an aftermarket one since it appears I already have the only one available for the 12.

4 row transmission cooler on standard tow and 7 on Hd tow. Your best check is if you have the Bargman/Ford 7 pin connector on the hitch. If that’s there you have Hd tow with the big cooler.

I do have the 7 pin connector on the hitch. I was looking up the window sticker for my Expy but nothing comes back for the VIN. I went to Ford etis and can't get the full summary. I have to take it in this week for A/C issue (Dealer put in a brand new system last year) not cooling at all this year, so still under warranty thank goodness. I will have them tell me for sure. I'm pulling a trailer at 6000 lbs and want to make sure the tranny is kept at a reasonable temperature.

Does the connector have the Ford logo? It’ll be 7 rows on the cooler

If you have the original 7 pin connector and the little 4 pin one it should have the tow package. Did it have a brake controller under the dash above the gas pedal?

I have both the 4 pin and 7 pin. I have an Tekonsha brake controller.

Well you are right, the 7 row transmission cooler Ford part # is listed as a 2007-2009 and 2015-2017 part. 2010-2014 don’t get the big trans cooler looks like.
