Hey Gang.

First just a quick update on my front end noise. It obviously took a while but it ended up being my front differential seals and shaft bearings. Anyway to my new issue. My 3rd generation Expy has developed an odd issue with the information center (the section that has the mileage, gas mileage, etc. displayed) lights in the middle of the cluster. When I first start it up the park assist warning is seen but as soon as I shift into drive the whole display goes dark. I’ve tried covering the light sensor just in case but it did nothing.

Anyone have any ideas? Can the system be reset? I also have issues with the easy entrance settings as well but I don’t know if the two are connected.
Thank you!

Ok. I’m an idiot. I’ll tell you why in a minute. But I was reading through the owners guide and it spoke about the standard information center and how it one presses on the reset spindle it shuts if the display light. Hmmm. So I looked further back to see if the upgraded info center had the same feature and nothing was said. So I went out to my vehicle, started it up, and realized I don’t have a reset spindle (duh). So, what the hec, I pushed the button labeled “Info” and low and behold the light came on! (Here’s where I’m an idiot) Either my wife or I pushed the info button inadvertently. Next time I’ll start pushing buttons BEFORE I post something. Hahaha

Don't feel bad, I was trying to find out why something wasn't responding to the on and off buttons after I got my new / used truck and I was pushing the wrong button for a week trying to get it to work ......….lol
