With the F150 and Expedition Ford has been on the mixing the entertainment climate controls pretty much in the same unit essentially.
Making aftermarket choices pretty slim. But folks are getting intuitive with some Android setups. There are a number of them out there for the F150 but all seem to be based in China or some other foreign country which does not interest me with as much integration as there is in these units anymore.
But here recently I came across a company that is based in the states and appear to do their own designing and not just source someone else’s stuff completely from China. Yes, all the main components come from China but their base and know how is ere. They speak English and they respond to inquiries quickly.
Here is their YouTube page

LinksWell Inc. is their name. I inquired if we were likely to see a unit for the 15-17 Expeditions. Did not ask about other years as I don’t have one and I am not familiar with how similar the audio and climate controls are.

He said they had started to look into their development but ran into issues when it came to being able to control the rear climate control settings and they had not had enough inquiries into Expeditions systems to devote anymore resources to it.

So if you are interested by all means give them a call or send them an email and maybe they will put some effort back into it.

I’d love to see a complete system for our rigs but until then I’ll continue forward with my Android headunit that I am going to piggyback to the factory sync system. I have pretty much everything planned out on how I would like to do it just need the time to mock up my dashpod to see if it will be too obtrusive.

I am glad you checked into this. I wanted to do the same now I am leaning toward wireless android auto!

Did you continue down this path and did you get the rear camera to work?

Thanks Jay

I got the Phoenix 17” model in June. It’s big. Flawed heavily. But still cool.

Just for more info. The Phoenix 17" is all Touch screen, but it does support the Rear Controls of the Expedition's HVAC. Honestly the touch screen is so hard to see, that I just left it in the "rear controls" mode, and let my passengers control the AC back there. But you can control it from the touch screen if you want.

Can you see where it says "Front Control" in blue and "Rear Control" in black? That is a touch screen toggle. The selected one is in blue. When selected you can then set the fan speed and temp setting. While this pick was taken with the factory default setting of Celsius. I later change to F.
