Packed up the fam and headed to our Anna Maria Island beach house.....averaged right at 24 mpg over 472 miles.....that is crazy good for such a behemoth vehicle. Also loved to the turbo whistle in 10th gear on any slight grade with cruise control on. Ford did an awesome job with this powertrain.

Nothing like a full sized SUV for road trips! This thing is a mile chomper for sure. I like that turbo whistle on cruise. Not having to stop for fuel for ~500+ miles is pretty sweet, too.

Guessing you have a Max with that range?

Last month I sold my 2500 Suburban 8.1L big block....12.5 mpg HWY downhill with a tailwind was best I ever saw. The Expy is a welcome upgrade.

Our family just had a road trip from Arkansas to Cincinnati, OH and it was a blast with the Exp. We got around 23 mpg using mid tier gas and the Exp did show its present on the road, people just moved over when we were behind them quick lol. My kids never complained about the long trip since they enjoyed the recline seat, usb port and wifi. I notice a new feature when my wife drove it for a while, a message popped up and stated something about driver fatigue since she couldn't keep it straight in the lane :)
