Hi folks, not sure if Forscan thread is best place for this question, but seems like a place to start. I can start a new thread if nothing comes back: has anybody looked for a way to enable turning on the back-up camera while driving? I did searches and haven't found where it's been discussed. I'd love to be able to check the status of ratchet straps on my utility trailer when towing.

Also, I skimmed through multiple pages and am struggling to find link to current version of Forscan file for 15-17 Expeditions - I know it's out there! If someone could point me to a post number or PM me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I haven't heard any mention of being able to override the backup camera using factory settings. But, you can get an aftermarket interface module that lets you put a camera's output on the factory screen. In order to make this work, however, you'd need to replace your OEM backup camera with an aftermarket one. The factory camera has a proprietary LIN-bus interface while an aftermarket camera would output a standard NTSC video signal.

Hey guys, I tried a few different ways but can't get the spreadsheet from post 684 to open anymore.

Work for anyone else?

Hey gang. Thanks so much for all of the information detailed here! New to this thread as we just picked up a 2016 Platinum 4x4 last weekend. It is replacing our old '98 XLT 4x4 which we've had for 20 years. 277k and still going! Anyway, made it through all 80 pages of this thread and am looking to start digging into making some changes. I've got my eye on a unit and wanted a sanity check.

This type of unit work okay?

I'm interested in the hardwired version since my old shop laptop does not have bluetooth.

Also, over the course of this thread, several links to spreadsheets were listed along the way. What would be best one to use for a 2015 Platinum? Is it the 2014 F150?

Thanks again.

I HATE tapalink sometimes! It is like they have a thing against Amazon. Link sends me to EBay.

If you want the best wired FORSCAN supported adapter, you want an OBDLINK EX.

You most likely will not need a sheet. Most of what you want to do will be in the quick config.

You also mentioned 2 years in your post? Do you have Sync 2(Black background 4 quadrant) or Sync 3(white background 3 quadrant)? 2015’s are Sync 2, 2016’s are Sync 3.

2015-2017 Expeditions are a unique beast. They have a unique combo of modules. Use quick config, drop down change options in FORSCAN and it will save you a lot of headache.

Ooops.. we have a 2016. We were looking so long at 2015's, that was where my mind went. Thanks for the catch. It has Sync 3 and I just updated in via USB last weekend.

I'll take a look at the unit you suggested. Thanks!

I've been eyeballing this on Amazon for a few days, never quite got around to making the purchase. Price just dropped from $50 down to $34. Glad I waited!

Quick question for yall expy owners. I have a 2015 Expedition XLT that had the sync 4-inch screen in it. I upgraded to the 8-inch Sync 3 screen with Apple car play and whatnot. Everything works for the most part. I need some advice on what in Forscan I can change so the steeing wheel controls work for the radio. The only thing that works on there is the volume. Another thing is there is no volume level on the screen when it is turned up or down and lasty there is no audio coming out of the speakers when in a phone call. You can talk just fine, you just can't hear anything unless you put the phone on speaker mode. Any help would be great. All the spreadsheets I tried on here don't work so does any have a sheet they can share for a sync 3 APIM and ACM modules so I can see if I can match it up. Thank you
