When do you use the door code?

I use the door code fairly regularly. At home, I keep my keys upstairs in my nightstand usually. If I'm downstairs/outside and need to get into the truck quick, I can just punch in the code and I'm in.

I've also used it while camping. If we leave the campsite to go out walking and I don't feel like carrying my keys with me, rather than leave the keys in the tent, I'll throw 'em in the console of the truck and lock it up...then just enter the code when we return.

Another time it's been handy...if I have the vehicle in for service for the day, and they have the key and I forget to take my spare, I can have them throw the key in the console and lock it up in case I can't get there before they close.

Overall I think it's a handy feature.

Makes sense. The navigator has shown as a key functionality so as long as I have my phone on me the car will unlock. But without that I can understand how it would be helpful

Curious if locking car with the keypad also activates the alarm? It doesn’t beep like it does with the key...?

Kinda weird isn’t it? You’re going to leave you keys, phone and wallet in the car and the alarm can’t be set?

Well if you do it when bowling then I guess you’re right...it’s not weird!

Yeah but it is actually weird limitation though that you can’t have the alarm on when you use the keypad.

Actually, really weird the more I think about it. In fact there must by a way to do it...

Anyone?
