ive had a lot of really small coolant leaks on my exp but nome that have been as weird as this one, i first noticed when i was driving on the freeway one day and i saw white fogish looking stuff coming out of my AC vents that reaked of antifreeze. A couple days later i noticed a large puddle of coolant underneath the passenger side, it was dripping down from the shielding around the catalytic converter. I took it to the local ford in city and they pressure checked the heater core but told me that it checked fine and it wasnt the heater core. Any advice would be helpful the coolant line diagrams for this car are way to confusing for me to figure it out. It only leaks sometimes primarily when i use my AC or heater a lot. Also when the fogish/white smokendoes come out of the vents it usually starts when the ac is all the way cold and gets worse if i turn it to more heat.

The only place that the antifreeze comes thru to the passenger compartment is the heater core.
The only place the antifreeze gets into your air vents is the heater core
I have had the puddle on the passenger floor and the fog on inside windshield, it was the heater core.

If it walks like a duck, If it quacks like a duck, It's the heater core.

If you can have a whole day to yourself (and some change), you can do it, I promise. A heater core replacement can get up to $1000. There are videos online on how to do it. That's how I pulled it off. It's just draining the fluid, taking a bunch of screws/bolts out, pulling the dash a little to get behind and replacing the heater core.

This is what you'll be dealing with. It's not that bad- just time consuming.
