Hi folks, 04 Bauer model with similar issue that I've read on many forums and other sites, difference right away is rear wiper seems to be working fine.. returning to proper position and all. My testing has shown after the initial amp draw after shutting vehicle down drops from the initial 4+ amp level, it hovers at the .43 level until such a time as the battery-saver circuit kicks in. Upon pulling fuse 15 in the POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX "Memory (PCM/DEATC/CLUSTER), COURTESY LAMPS" the draw drops to .03 and then zero. Subsequent checking in the PASSENGER COMPARTMENT FUSE PANEL shows that when fuse 17 is pulled, "Delayed accessory relay coil/battery saver coil and contact/Reading and glovebox lamps" the amp draw drops to .25 amps and remains there same as above.
I've removed the fuse for the rear wiper circuit and see this makes no difference, not going so far as to see if that may have no effect of a system feedback sensor though,.. considered a couple of other plans of isolating the problem which requires all types of underdash contortion which for me bumping 60 and my own assortment of "aftermarket parts" strewn throughout my body is not a thought I relish, figured I'd throw this out there for thoughts and experiences of others that may save me a bit of anguish. Thanks for your time....

If you wish to be relieved of further anguish and painful contortion, you might just connect a permanent
automatic trickle charger with the connecting plug external of the hood for ease of connection.

A nuisance, yes, but it will keep your battery charged at little expense, and effort.

How are your door jamb switches ? Do you have ForScan on your laptop? In ForScan you can look at all the door jamb switches in the PIDs and see if they're functioning correctly as you have an assistant go around and open and close the doors, look on ForScan and see that they show the appropriate OPEN/CLOSED condition. That would be my first guess, one of the front door jamb switches. Do all your courtesy lights go out immediately after you lock the vehicle with the key FOB ?

yes... I've thought of that and both have a trickle charger and have used it. My temporary "fix" thus far is to remove the 15A fuse in the underhood primary box. If I cannot isolate and fix the problem I have thought of adding a switch in the cabin to switch this circuit without having to go thru the process of raising the hood/removing ect.. Thanks for your thoughts...

ahhh... forscan.. I'll check into that.. and no.. all of the courtesy lights go out after the appropriate time.. I went out and did the lights out check with the FOB and yes.. they go out within a second or two.. which leads me to my next question and round of checks.... What have you found significant with this check? thanks.....

I experienced same power draw issues. 06 EB. It was the rear wiper. Worked but was not fully fully returning to original position. Pop the glass on the rear hatch after you exit the vehicle. If you hear a click after opening, its your problem. My solution was to not use rear wiper anymore. If I did, I'd pop the glass open. I removed and cleaned assembly but didn't help. Wiper worked intermittently until I stopped using it.
