So I found the filter, I got 2 of the 3 lines off. The last line is the one that goes to the engine. It is held on with an odd blue clip and none of my fuel line removal tools work. Any idea how to manipulate this clip to get it off? I'm working in the dirt and stock height, so that's making it a bigger PITA

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I thought the 09 was in the tank. If you got the 2 rear ones off you should be able to swing the whole thing down to work on it. The front one should be the one you slide the removal tool INTO. Some of those clips have a center piece you slide out with a pick or tiny screwdriver and then press in on the surrounding white part. Send a picture if you can't get it.

I think they moved to the in tank filter late 09, and I know for sure its in the tank for the 10s.

I will try and snap a picture. Everything under there is incredibly brittle and the other 2 clips were already broken and the PO had taped the retainers into place. . . . Now I need new fuel lines :flame:

Yea, I don't think they sell those separately.

I don't think that is the same one, there is another one that you slide the middle part out with a little pick and press in next to the piece that slid out on either side..

I know what one you are talking about but.

I actually think it is Dorman 800-040, taking the one whole one off there was no clip to pry up with a pick. It was a press it to release, or pry it with a pick to release. However I touched it and it broke.

Looking at the broken parts it looks identical to the 800-040, or at least some variation. They have some at my local O'reilly so I will grab and try.

Edit: and the correct one is Dorman 800-023. you need the 5/15 and 3/8. There is a seperate safety piece that goes over the whole thing that I still need to buy.
