A large number of the parts are entirely or largely from a foreign country (usually China or Mexico). We're all on cellphones that were made in China. Heck, this very website is hosted on Chinese-made computer hardware. We're watching TVs made overseas as well. Appliances? Ditto. Clothing? Same again
Then you have American companies that have been bought out by other countries, for example Smithfield was bought out by a Chinese company. So how do you categorize that? It is an American product that any of us meat eaters probably have in our refrigerator and yet the profits are going to China.
Then you have the foreign companies that have factories here (Toyota, Honda, BMW ect...) that hire American workers (A lot at union wages) and pay American taxes (at a big tax cut rate) but the bottom line is the profits go back to the country of origin. More profits than if they made out of country and shipped in so don't think that they are doing Americans a favor.
But ya we do have to MAN UP and realize that the only way you can truly buy American is if you buy my mother-in -law.
In fact the next poster to put their 2 cents in has bought the old bitty. Free shipping but defiantly NO RETURNS
