There are several companies that sell metal cabinets to public safety agencies for Expedition. You might try Havis Shield . There are others.

Some of the other solutions are pull out trays like used in pick up beds.

I am trying to find a low profile metal box that fits the entire cargo area with the 3rd row seats out. So far it's just trays,

After you remove 3rd row, remove all that wasted "plastic tray" crap too. It's a lot of wasted space. I didnt bother with drawers, just a top cover you can pull out to get in there.

The store bought solutions cost more than a car. The fascist Youtube has multiple howto videos showing how to do it yourself. I haven’t seen a metal one, but seek and ye shall find - it’s the internet.

I had an ARB drawer in my 2000 for awhile. Then I put it back in my Explorer when I sold my 2000.

I took a surplus Fire Dept. cabinet insert from a Tahoe and did some customization to put in the back of my Expedition. Cost was less than $40 with some hardware and nylon retaining straps. I did cut it down vertically for my use case.

I would have preferred an Expedition solution, but a Tahoe worked. Beggars shandn’t be choosers.

The Railroad's Expeditions had some storage solutions installed; long aluminum drawers. Those things cost $2,000 back in 1999.
