I just bought a 5700lb trailer Rockwood 2511s mini lite. On order.

I have a 2020 Expedition with the max tow package

Has anyone used the E3 1000lb hitch? The dealer wants to sell me that model.

I want a new hitch with the trailer. Seems there is a shortage of Equalizer hitches

The Rockwood 2511S shows a empty hitch weight of 714 pounds on FR's website. While the E3 1,000 pound hitch will work that is very close to what your estimated loaded hitch weight. For that estimated loaded weight I'm taking FR's 714 pounds empty and adding 15% of FR's listed CCC of 1,382 pounds, which is 207 pounds, to come up with 921 pounds. Personally I'd rather go with a 1,200 rating instead of the 1,000 as you don't want to risk over loading the hitch.
