Hey gang,

We have a 2016 Platinum that we bought back in October. I'm having an issue with the Auto-Up not working on the drivers window. Auto-down works w/o issue. I've tried the reset for the bounce-back, but no joy. It has not worked since we bought the truck.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Is that actually a feature? There is some danger in that. Think about it, It could have been disabled by the dealer.

Yes it is but but probably has an anti squish feature (never tried it). I would start with a new switch.

It has a bounce-back feature to protect from getting squished. Actually pretty surprised they only have it on the drivers window. My 07 sedan has it on all 4 (up and down) and I love it. I checked with Forscan and did not see anything related shut off. I should probably give it another look.
Otherwise, I'll prob just have the wife take up to the dealer since its still under warranty. Just didn't want to waste the time if it was something straightforward.

The switch assembly is an easy replacement but if it’s still covered under warranty then that would be the way to go.

I forget if Ford had it but when changing the Battery on my '99ML and I think '06SRX. You had to run the window down with the switch then hold the up switch past up or a few seconds after the window was full up. The module then knew it reached it's limit. Only takes a minute to try

I've tried various methods of this reset with no luck. But I'll probably give it another check.

I have a 2015 XLT with a similar issue. About 90% of the time the Auto-up does not work and about 10% of the time it does work. I've tried the steps to reset it as well, but it is not consistent. Since I'm out of warranty I've just been living with it.
