Is it supposed to be helpful to call people names and then give zero actual information nor explanation?

This subject has been beaten to death in several threads and you two sat there and called several other members including myself with actual knowledge and experience on the subject “asshats” for our posts. Bold claim for one with no experience.

Been following this for along time in several posts, Bought my 2007 Expy NEW and have just under 130,000 miles on the original 2 piece plugs, still starts at the click of the key and is getting 18- 18.5 MPG in the north woods of Wisconsin where its COLD, scared of the thought of breaking them off is the reason they are still in there along with the fact that it just runs so good, Thought about trading it but after reading about the issues on here with new ones what is the point of spending $50-60 K or more ta boot on a new one when my old one is issue free ,also have NO cam Phaser noise, I change the engine oil every 5000 miles myself or my son does it for me using Motorcraft 5/30 with a Motorcraft filter, also flush the trans every 30 K , SO the question is, how many miles did you guys get out of the crappy 2 piece plugs, Thanks, John.

I've got a 2007 Expedition with 185k miles and need to replace the plugs and coils. Consensus seems to be it would be unlikely the original two piece plugs are still in it. Either way, I'll have the extractor tool on hand when I do it just in case I need it.

So my question is.. What the hell spark plugs do I buy? Looking on Amazon etc all I see is ones that look exactly like the OEM crap plugs. I want something that won't be an issue to remove down the line if it's ever needed.

Doing some reading I think the Champion plugs are one piece.

So, these are what I want?

The new motorcraft plugs are NOT 2 piece. They may look like it, but they are not.
I had the same issues with my 06 and a new set of plugs cleared it right up. Had the same could on it with no problem when I traded it at 158000.
The trick to pulling out the old plugs in 1 piece is to take your time. Put some marvel mystery oil in the plug wells and let it sit. Then get a good plug socket and breaker bar and just crack them. More marvel mystery oil. Wait. Work them out slowly and you will be ok. By the way, you are going to have to pull the j box on the right side of the firewall for access to that back plug. Not a big deal, just be sore to disconnect the battery before you pull the connectors.

He’s a brave keyboard warrior, about 13 years old. Read an article on smokey yunick so he knows it all now and has earned the right to recognition.

For the record, i did call “asshats” referring to posts about stuck spark plugs that begin with “”loosen it a 1/4 turn”.

Apparently stuck doesn’t mean actually stuck in their experience.

In response to coils last the lifetime of the truck. I can tell you from personal experience this is not true. My 2000 Expedition (4.6) lost 3 coils at around 120K - 130K. All original Motorcraft, tested and verified bad. Replaced with MSI Coils and no more issues. If a coil goes bad the plug doesn't fire. You will definitely notice the miss.
