It's not about engine life so much as keeping your intake, valves etc clean so your engine runs better. And there is evidence for that.

Produce it, please. Sounds like what i’ve been looking for.

The evidence is that it catches oil. That oil doesn't go through your intake and past the valves to be burned.

oh, great, somebody else that lies about what's posted. I never said they don't catch oil. you implying that I did is a lie.

YOU SAID there's evidence "... your engine runs better.". what real people call "improved performance". so either produce that or ****. stop playing games.

2011-2014 EcoBoost motors had a bigger problem with the intake valve coking. Starting in 2015 Ford redesigned the Ecoboost and added a second port injector to compliment the direct injection system, to help wash the backside of the intake valves. It won't hurt anything to add a catch can to your 2015 Expy, it may prove to help collect a little oil residue before it gets recycled into your intake system, and give you peace of mind. But your 2015 intake valves are getting washed anyway, so you probably won't notice much benefit to your intake valves. Not like the 2011-2014 motors would see.

Thank you for the clarification
These things I do not know much about

If you buy a new car, yes. An older vehicle that has never had one, there's kind of no point. I put one on my 2016 Challenger a month after I bought it new. I have emptied it a few times in 20k miles, which means it really is catching oil instead of letting it go back into the engine to be burned (ie turned into carbon deposits).

Thank you for sharing and providing your experience with this tool

Actually the gen 2 ecoboost didn't make it into the expedition until 2018. So yes, adding a catch can to a 2015 would be a very good idea.
thank you This is what I really need to know

I added one on my Gen4. The maintenance is easy, and their are little know negative side effects (At least I have never heard of any). I also think it will help clear up things over time, especially if you run additional fuel cleaners (which I think may dilute oil, so you may have to change a bit more frequently) and injector sprays (professional mech level).

Here is some commentary:

Thank you for this information from actual experience
I really appreciate this

I'm sorry logic escapes you.

Oil is in the can = it didn't go into the intake to be burned = reduced carbon deposits = engine runs better

And later when you grow up and stop hurling childish insults maybe you'll get better responses to your questions etc
