Towing mpg

I have a 2014 Limited 4x4 hd towing pkg. I tow a 22" V-Nose all Aluminum car hauler. Trailer is 2,700lbs vehicle is 3,200lbs with gear etc I'm around 6,500#. I get 8 to 9 mph normally without headwind or mountains. Not tried premium while towing but that is something I will look into. I just hit 111K miles and likely could use a set of plugs, that may make a difference as well.

I have a 12 ft V nosed trailer. I drop to 9 MPG empty or loaded.. Equipment trailer about the same.

7500 lb boat with a hard top. On the interstate I see 8-9, typically. That's running high test.

Really miss the 32 gallon tank in my previous Yukon XL. That 4 gallons makes a huge difference.

10MPG on my last trip (300 miles) - '20 MAX with HD on 93 octane, max speed of 60MPH, fairly empty 2021 Grand Design 2800BH travel trailer, Thule Motion XT-XL roof box. It will be an expensive trip up to Canada in June........

4K lbs when camper is fully loaded.

14-15 mpg with canoe, 11-12 without canoe.

As mentioned already... it’s really aero dependent.

Currently have a 2020 Expy Xkt with tow package. Getting art 14-15 mog pulling a 25 ft airstream. Actually getting better mpg now than with my 2009 f150.

You get better with the canoe up top?

I averaged 13 I think with this set up. It's heavier than it looks with 2 canoes up top and a the bed full of camping gear.

I noticed on my last two cars the 18ft canoe wasn’t much of a hit.

21mpg 6 day trip 65-75mph ish, HD Expedition
Trailer is 900lb empty typically it lands in the 1200-1300lb range. Aerodynamics for sure is mileage factor. I’m watching the Mantis prices and axle problems waiting for more reasonable prices. Another max owner says 14-15mph with the Mantis is typical for him.

Towing about 6200-6500# boat loaded down with coolers and kids, I average 8-10 depending on speed and how badly I want to keep up with traffic in stop and go driving.
