Forgive me if this thread is already a thing somewhere. Feel free to remove if so.

I have a 2016 Ford Expedition XLT. I am looking at picking up some used wheels (on the cheap) for a Second set Winter/Summer. Do any of the Ford F150 Wheels fit the 3rd Gen (2016 in my case) Expedition? Any good resources to look into for research?

Thanks,
Agkoh2011

Yup. Any 6-lug Ford wheel should fit.

You might have to trim the end of the axle shaft on the rear.

Sjwelds, hmm. Not sure I completely understand that, but in an event, I would want to avoid that. Ideally I would keep my Stock wheels as my Winter Set and my newly acquired wheels as my Summer set. So trimming down would probably not be a good thing.

If I understand tire stuff correctly, dropping an inch in width does not have any detrimental affects, but Im not sure if thats true with the same offset.

The F150 wheels have a different backspacing. So your (rear only) axle shaft will slightly poke through the F150 center cap hole not allowing the caps to be mounted. The solution is take a hack saw/sawzall or cut off wheel and trim a little off the end of the shaft. Its very easy and doesn't hurt anything.

Ah great. Would it affect the Stock Expedition wheels from being put back on?

1970Maverick,

Right, that seems to be the information I have found as well. After sketching the profile, it appears that the f150 should fit, except for the previously mentioned axle issue (easily solved).

I appreciate the help from everyone and will see what I can find on Craigslist and report back if successful.
