My life is never as easy as these 2012 glass replacements just snapping right into my 08 to gain badly needed blind spot mirrors.

Anyone done this?

That's a pretty sweet way to handle it if that works! It looks like it's the same. I just did the stick-on grandpa mirrors, but it's not as nice looking as this would be.

I tried the stick on but couldn’t see enough. I’ve used them on vehicles in the past but I guess my seeing now with glasses has changed things. I’m about ready to put tow mirrors on it if these don’t help. I’m 48 and just this week had to get prescription glasses.

If you're thinking about the tow mirrors, it's only $300 and your time and whatever else you break in the process. May as well do it!

A little more research and it seems there may be a difference if it is a heated mirror. Good luck and keep us posted.

Parts are in, but I haven’t had a chance to try the swap. We’re currently in another arctic blast here, went from 70 to 34 this afternoon. I’m not risking breaking plastic clips in the cold. Will try to switch out the mirror glasses soon as it warms back up.

I just installed the drivers side. I was as careful as I could be, but broke 3 of the plastic tabs on the old mirror. At least I got it off without breaking the glass incase I ever need to reuse it someday. The heater wire terminals are extremely tight. I was afraid I was going to break the glass pulling them off. I supported the riveted terminal against the glass with a flat blade screwdriver while I pulled the wire connectors off with pliers. I put fresh grease on the two worm gears and on the guides, anywhere it looked like plastic rubbing plastic. Connected the heater wires to the new glass and it snapped right on. Seems to fit and move just like the original. Doing the passenger side after I post this.
