I bought a 2015 Ford Expedition 3.5 L Ecoboost.
There have been a few issues I’ve noticed since purchasing the vehicle. The first being a grind that sounds and feels like it comes from the rear of the vehicle when I turn from a very low speed while accelerating, for example when I turn out of my driveway onto the road.
Tonight when trying to diagnose the issue further I had my brother drive the vehicle and do multiple u-turns in my yard while I was outside the vehicle. I noticed the noise was more like a constant clicking noise while the vehicle was turning and accelerating.
The rear differential was already replaced by the dealership last week when I informed them that there was a bad noise going on while driving as soon as I left the dealership. So supposedly that should not be the problem. They made the repair free of charge, so I am unsure of how in depth they looked into the problem, but they informed me the rear differential has been replaced.
