Camera was replaced 2 weeks ago as part of the recall. The dealer failed to calibrate the 360 system so I had to return to them for a follow up calibration of the rear camera to get it to display correctly.

Rear camera lens looks clean but did not use any chemicals to clean it. Water and soft cloth.

Have Dealer appointment for my 2020 Max this Tuesday AM but leaving Tuesday PM ... Bringing in the trailer with the Max for them to test ir out ... I hope I have done something wrong and the fix is me.

Worst case the trailer is a factor or the rear camera is defective.

Damn ....

After a quick and dirty modification of the sticker / label I remounted the metal plate and then erased the old trailer settings and re calibrated the sticker on the trailer.

The recently calibrated back up pro camera / system detected the new sticker first try!

While my new mount is not great it does work now and the pro back up works with my Kendon trailer.

Not sure how much time I will spend making a better mount ... will do more testing of the back up system (Bright sun, shade, night) to better ensure all is good.

Overall I am pumped and thankful for the Ford Dealer full calibration with alignment mats. (Service writer told me it was the first time they used the mats and had to trail / read the Ford manual on it before they could complete the calibration of the complete 360 cameras and radar ... took them 4 hours I was told)

I purposely didn't want the towing package, but on another note: The auto-parking system is just awful. They even dedicated a couple of console mounted switches for that purpose

After towing the bike up to Sturgis SD ... 2000 miles each way ... We report the back up pro assist work well in rain dark shade bright light ... The only issue is that it is best to align the tailer with the vehicle in a fairly straight line before using back up assist pro for best backing up results. For us starting a back up withe the trailer already at a 45 degree angle to the car was often a not go.

I tested my backup system over the weekend and experienced the Sticker Not Found message dozens of times. I discovered that the system would only work when the sticker was illuminated by bright sunlight. If there was any shadow covering the sticker, it would fail. I tested the system at night and found it would fail unless I directed a very bright spotlight on the sticker.

I previously tested the system by covering up much of the trailer and placed the sticker on cardboard. That didn't help at all.

I'm taking the car to Ford this morning to see what they can do with it.
