OK so today, I vaccuumed out my AC and refilled with about 54 oz of freon(2003 Eddie Bauer that has rear AC) AC is working much better. Last week I replaced teh rear blend valve and mode solenoid due to the rear blowing hot air on a previous drive. However, after turning off the motor today I heard a hissing noise that I couldn't pinpoint but was coming from somewhere around the radiator area. A few minutes later had to pick up my daughter from work, when I parked I still heard hissing. Come back out to the car and noticed what looked like a few puffs of light smoke coming from front grill but stopped. Got in car, AC still blowing colder than it has in years. All gauges are reading fine, temperatur in the middle area as it normally is. Get out of car and still hear hissing. But no smoke or anything visible. I want to check it out before I have to drive it again, as this seems like a timebomb waiting to happen. But not sure where to start. Are there any "normal" issues in that area of the car I should check first? This car has covers over everything so it looks like I need to remove lots of panels to really get access to anything.

Thanks

update, took off the top shroud over radiator and the little plastic side piece that goes between the radiator and whatever is in from of the radiator. noticable AC oil coming out of this thing. i had previously used dye oil to find leak so here is a pic of where its leaking/hissing with a UV light aimed looking down from above radiator. what is the big AC “radiator” called in front of the radiator? there are also 2 smaller “radiators” down below but i think 1 of then is for transmission?

Your condenser is leaking .... have to replace it.

AC Condensers at Rock Auto

OK thank you! I am on Rock Autos site, and have the Denso condensor in my cart. It says to also change the AC Drier/Accumulator so I also have the UAC drier/accumulator with rear controls in my cart. It also says to replace the condensor O-rings. But when I click teh O-rings link there are 9 different sizes and colors, no real description besides size and color. Any ideas where to find which o-rings to replace for condensor and drier/accumulator? Thanks a bunch!
