So I was towing my TT SB on I75 in TN with my 2020 Expedition with 10,000 miles and the A/C stopped working.
It was 99 degrees out and was hotter thrn he$&!
I stopped at a gas station and the compressor clutch was on?
We continued to our destination and stayed the night. Next morning I started up the car and Ac was working perfectly? Drove home 3 days later and still working fine.
What would cause it to go out? Could it have froze up?
I’m at a loss. Talked to the dealer and told them everything. Suggested to keep an eye on it, and if it does it again, bring it down so they can see what it’s doing.

Did the A/C stop cooling, but the fan still blew air out of the HVAC vents? Or did the air stop, or was greatly reduced?

What Ford dealer do you go to in the Tri-State area?

yes ac stopped cooling. Fan still blew normal out the vents, just warm air.

I usually go to Walt Sweeney.

If the a/c evaporator froze-up, it would also cause a reduction in the air output.

Good luck on the a/c - and I hope that it can be fixed if the problem recurs.

I live in the Tri-State, but have never gone to Walt Sweeney Ford. I used to live on the west side, in Hamilton County - but moved to a different county.

Thanks for your input. Yea no issues with dealer. They said they would have no problems looking at it, but indicated it would be an inconvenience for me if it’s not doing anything wrong now.

anyone else have any idears?

Sounds like it could be a stuck blend door. If it worked the next day, the overall system is fine.
Dealer warranty item.
