Ok, please don’t beat me up too badly asking and telling me to use the search function…I dunno what this part is called and “cracked” is going to come up with waaaaay too many hits so…

Noticed his black trim on driver side next to the rear window has a crack. If memory serves I think I remember a thread loooong ago about this. Common? Warranty replacement? I know of zero reason this should be cracked so I can only assume it “just happens”…

This was a huge issue for the Ford Flex. Many and I mean many owners had cracked panels similar to what you posted. When I had my 2010 EB Flex LTD I had one side that was cracked. Others had it happen multiple times even after warranty replacements. But I haven't heard / seen many Expy issues on this....

Mine is the left side that cracked. Wonder how onerous this is to replace?

Going to take it in to Ford and see if they will warranty it of course, but if they don't I'd still probably want to fix it myself at a minimum...if I can...

My wife's 2018 has this issue on the right rear side. What was the feedback when you took it in? I'm also curious how hard this is to replace myself.

I haven't had much in the way of feedback here, nor on Facebook groups. I'm hesitant to take it to a dealer for fear they will do more damage than they fix. I might bring it to a local body shop that does phenomenal work and see what they say. I did try to vinyl wrap it myself but since it was on the vehicle the results were poor so I gave up on that.

If anyone here can comment on what it takes to replace these I'd love to hear it...

I would do as you day, and visit a body shop you trust. They will know how to remove it. I would also bring my own replacement panel to my body guy.
