I have been looking to buy a used 4th Gen Max for over a month now, but just haven't been able to find the right one that I can justify the crazy used prices. I've mainly been looking at Limited's and I need the HD Tow Package. But I can get by without buying one until the spring.

So now I am thinking the better route might be to order a '22 XLT Max with the 202A and HD Tow Packages. It would have all the features I need, plus the new bigger screen and updated Sync tech. And I could pick the perfect spec of color, wheels, etc. Can anyone tell me about how much this build would be to order at the dealer? Thanks

Go to shop.ford.com and do a "build and price." That will give you MSRP. If you work for a Ford partner, you can get X-Plan pricing. The way things are going lately, X-Plan might be the best you can do on an order. Then every chance you get, request brochures in the names of everyone who resides at your residence--one of you might receive a private cash offer to use to sweeten up a deal. They are only transferrable between family members at the same residence. Good luck

Thanks for the tips on the X-Plan pricing. I don't see the ability to build a 2022 Expedition on Ford.com yet, which is why I was asking. I've seen some prices that people paid when they ordered a '22 Limited but not XLT.

The difference in price is pretty slim except for higher trims, so you can use the 21 as a baseline, take it to a dealer and have them build and price the 22 for you.

We ordered a 22’ XLT 4x4 via local dealer last week the MSRP goes up to $57000, HD $795, 202A $3795. Special Package with 360 degree camera costs $2495 plus 2rw bench flip $595. 5% higher than 21’.

Thanks AJIANG. That sounds exactly like the truck I want. What color and wheels did you go with? Did you agree to the flat MSRP price or any negotiation?

I also have a few questions about the features on the new XLT. Does it still have non-LED headlights and tail lights? Still fixed running boards? Any photos of the interior? I have only seen pictures of the Platinum.

FYI,

The HD tow package is not available on the XLT MAX 4x4. You would need to get a 4x2, lose the max, or bump up to a limited.

Tgreen48 is that new for the 2022 model? If so that's a bummer, it was available in the 18-21 XLT...

Yes it is. I was looking for that exact setup and had to bump to a limited. Huge bummer for my wallet.

There are several dealers mentioned on the threads here that are offering below invoice. I had a local dealer match the below invoice quote that I got from another out of state dealer.
