Okay so, I really need help/advice on how to fix the brakes on my 2004 Ford Expedition. Originally, all I needed was for the brake pads to be changed. The guy who 'helped' do it, only changed the front driver side pads then said there wasn't anything else he could do until I replaced the master cylinder. Well, aside from the new brake pads, I've also replaced the brake caliper, the brake line and the master cylinder. Still no brakes. One person tells me I need a new proportional valve and another says I need a new ABS module/pump.......I'm at a complete loss and cannot afford to keep replacing 'possible' problem parts. Can ANYONE please help me before I completely lose every ounce of sanity I have have left........

Oh, sorry.....the brake pedal goes straight to the floor. The only way to get it to stop is by using the E brake. Everytime they bleed the brakes, there's no brake fluid coming out of the hose on the front driver side (line has already been replaced

First off are you losing fluid? check power brake booster. Bleed all 4 wheels. try bleeding left front thru line not thru bleeder. At abs and caliper, rubber line from frame to caliper often cracks inside.Vac booster may also be losing vacum check the check valve and line

My compliments if you are doing the brake work. The following video is pretty good.
Easy to understand. Pedal going to the floor is usually contributed to air in the lines.
The video person solved his pedal/floor problem with a new brake cylinder. Might be
worth a few minutes of your time to watch the video. Hope it helps.

It's not the master cylinder, I just put a brand new one in a few days ago. What would the possibilities be of him maybe damaging something while he was changing the one pad (front driver side is the only one he did)?

The flexible line collaspe intrenally but do not leak where you can seei it. usually brake will not release but could also go the other way. I know on f250 you can put caliper on upside down and it will not bleed all the air out! Been there 2 times Don't be in a rush, that is when things screw up happened when it was snowing and had to go plowing

I just wanted to say that on my 2004 Expedition it doesn't have drum brakes. Don't you have to have drum brakes to have a wheel cylinder? I am experiencing the same problem currently. We have replaced everything from the caliper, master cylinder, brake booster and abs module, all brake lines and pretty much all hoses. Bled it several times and still no pedal when started...stiff pedal when off. Thought it may have been a faulty/wrong caliper and replaced that, bled the brakes with forscan....Have absolutely no idea where to go from here.
