How screwed am I? Not sure how or why but during the plug change out today, the pedestal that comes off the valve cover snapped off while unbolting 5he 7mm bolt that holds down the COP. The coil is pretty snug on the plug, but the bolt seems to help push the coil down the plug hole a little bit. Haven't done a road test yet but the engine turned on and ran.

I was thinking of mcguyver'ing a strap from one coil bolt and across the loose one to the next coil bolt. The electrical connector may be in the way though.

Did the pedestal snap off flush or is there enough left to drill crossways through it to run a zip tie through? Or maybe use something like you said attached to a neighboring bolt to zip tie from as an anchor.

There is enough left over to drill a hole. I'll try it tomorrow.

The zip tie method was successful though :)
