12/30/21 and still no configurator for 2022?!!

I am in the market for my first Ford products, both essentially ordered unseen...and without a test drive. I was hoping at least by this time, a configurator for the 2022 Expedition would be on Ford's website so I could refine my order if needed before production starts. I am surprised they have not even set up a website to configure 2022s alongside or in replacement of 2021 configutation on Expedition and Mach1 and possibly others I might not know of. Is this typical of Ford, that they delay the upkeep of the website this long, or is this a fluke year because of demand/supply issue of parts? I do not know how much corporate sense than makes, but again, I am not in the auto industry.

I am in the same boat. Placed order a ways back, but would love to tinker with configurator so I can fully visualize and understand selections versus just reading them. That would allow me to make modifications based on my new knowledge. But at this point I am just assuming I won't get that chance. If it's any consolation my dealer thought the website would be updated within a week of orders opening, so he was surprised as well with the delay.

I really just want pictures of the interiors colors for XLT and Limited. Zero pictures anywhere of the new mahogany.

"Do you have any images of what the mahogany will look like?"
"No"
"Well then, sandstone, I guess"

Ford (and other manufacturers) are currently able to sell all the vehicles they can produce, due the reduction in production (for a variety of reasons).

As such, this is a classic example of how Ford does not care about its customers, and takes them for granted.

That would be unfortunate if true. They have been around for long and are also doing quite well I believe in the EV line, but as a legacy company, that might come back to bite them if the multitude of EV producers turn out to be better at customer care.

Happy to hear there are others just like me :(
I ordered the mahogany half heartedly since the choice was so limited. I hope it is not the same mahogany color shown in the existing king ranch trims.
I really wanted the black interior. But that was only available with the stealth package; and I didn't want stealth package :(
