Exactly I did the same but I wired my relay Straight to the battery and a ignition wire (on-off wire) going to fuse box. I would like to know which wire going to the fuse box will shut off the 12 V if the engine dies. I can’t find it on any wire diagram out there. I’ve been trying to Figure out what color the wire is that stays on for crank and run only. So that I feel safer having my daughter drive my expedition. Because if there was an accident and the engine dies but nobody shut the ignition key off the fuel pump would just continue to push fuel to the engine. If any of you know please let me know which color wire it is.

Yeah, if it was my kid driving the vehicle I would install a new fuse box. Even for liability issues with anyone riding in the truck. This is a pure redneck fix. Use at your own risk. The new replacement fuse boxes have heavier duty Panasonic relays anyway.

@Hamfisted are you saying that if I buy a new Motorcraft fusebox, it will have a heavier duty Panasonic relay? Thanks
