Been awhile since I installed mine. I remember that the manual had a misprint saying the low/high beams are bulb size ***, but in reality what was listed for low was really high beams & Vice versa. So for your issue try putting them were the wire harnesses click have the diodes Parallel to the deck/ground & see how it turns out. I think this happened to me but, 1.6 years has passed.
So you think the bulbs are mislabeled?

Here are the labels and plugs on both high and low beam. IF 9005 is the low beam you can see they have it labeled as the high beam but the number and plug are the Low Beam, right?A935F415-CD09-4526-A05A-BE5052F1E3DE.jpeg907ECD35-B38C-464C-A7C0-97BAF7A894F9.jpeg
Which then means the reverse for how they marked the High Beam - if H11 is the high beam that is the high beam plug and number but the label says Low Beam?

I think they’re trying to make me crazy!

So, should I send these back or just assume that the label is wrong but the plug is right for the low beam/High beam?
isn’t the H 11 the low beam and the 9005 the high beam? Or do I have it backwards?
If that’s the case then the numbering and label is correct but just on the wrong bulb altogether.

I put the same set in 2 weeks ago. The labels were backwards. I just switched them and threw them in. The housings will only take one of the bulbs, hi and lo have different threads so they only fit the specific ones.

He’s right. Also if you look at the numbers on the bulbs you took out of the headlight housing you’ll see the numbers are switched from what the owners manual said. On the 18-19 MY this was a thing.

So just ignore the labels and install them as they fit right?
I stopped the installation yesterday so given what you guys are saying, I can just move forward because the bulb threads and plugs only fit in the correct socket regardless.
Thanks for the help!

Following as I just bought a 2021 XLT Max this week, drove it 100 miles home in the rain and could not see the road. I've had Suburbans for 30 years but based on how happy we are with our 2020 Edge I decided to buy an Expedition. I would have never bought it if I had driven it at night first. My old 2013 Suburban has better headlights. I'm seeing the dealer on Friday and will find out their suggestions.

They’re going to tell you it’s fine. These are halogen reflector housings. Halogen lighting tech doesn’t put out a lot of lumen (brightness) or lux (distance thrown) like LED or HID lights do and they are hindered even more in a projector housing vs a reflector housing. You can go aftermarket HID or LED for relatively little money but the cheaper the light the poorer the material quality and beam pattern will be. If you want to spend $1,500-$2,500 you can purchase the LED light housings and aftermarket harnesses, plus have the dealer update the programming to accept them.
