After three-plus years, I changed out the cabin air filter on our 2019 yesterday. Had to Google "how to." For something that is a maintenance item, it sure was a complicated process. Now I know why the service writers never brought a dirty cabin filter to me when I had this vehicle in for service--no mechanic would go through the work of accessing it only to have a customer tell the service writer, "thanks, I'll pick one up and do it myself." BTW, it was barely dirty, but I didn't go through all that effort to not install the new one.tempImageM8hPcP.png

I change mine every year because it starts getting musty, but I live in the southeast where it's exceptionally humid. I agree it's a pain to get to, but once you do it a couple of times it goes a lot faster.

I did mine after around 20k miles. It wasn’t hugely dirty but had a few larger bits in it, so it’s doing it’s job. Once you’ve done it once, it isn’t too hard, as @Squark stated.

Living out here in AZ with all the dirt and dust, plus many road trips, I have it changed once a year. I just write the check.

You would think designing an access door in the rear glove box would make too much sense. But the money to develop that, and the money lost on labor… keep it cumbersome so dealers can gouge customers on the labor. It takes 5 mins once you know how, but after a few years those clips aren’t holding much tension and another place to have squeaks and rattles.
